God, the author and finisher of our faith…

If you are reading this then, Chioma 1- Procrastination 0

Late last year, I decided to stay true to my bible study schedule. I’ve tried to be disciplined with that because I really want to know God for whom he truly is and for my own understanding of what he expects from me. It’s been an insightful journey so far and what better way to learn more than to share, hence this article. While studying, I noted some bible verses I find inspiring and always visit/use when praying. They have helped to reaffirm my faith in times of doubt and given me hope in times of despair; constantly assuring me of God’s love and promise to always be there for me throughout this journey of life.

I’d be sharing five bible verses with you in this article (I’m literally a lazy writer lol.) and maybe share some more in subsequent times. So yeah, walk with me!

Many times we find ourselves in situations where we get so confused and scared, sometimes we feel forgotten and alone, other occasions angry and sad (trust me we all go through it). Even the bible tells us that as Christians and humans we are bound to face trials, difficulties, and challenges however, we must always remember that GOD would walk with us through it all. He would hold our hands and guide us, if we believe and totally trust in him.

My #1 saying is “God is in control”, even when faced with the toughest situation, I forge head-on with the understanding that God has already given me victory. This doesn’t mean I don’t get weak or even cry sometimes, I do; after all, I’m only human, but I never let my spirit get defeated. I pray, get back up, and keep going. The 5 verses listed below read them, understand them, memorize them and pray with them. This time with understanding, that he never fails and would never leave you.

Bible Verse:

Genesis 28:15 “Look, I am with you, and I will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

Jeremiah 29: 11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

Isaiah 45:2 “I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron. ”

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”

Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man that he should lie, nor a son of man that he should repent. What he says, he will do.”

I hope you also find them inspiring and useful. Looking forward to sharing more with you in the next article (maybe lol), till then do take care and always remember “Jesus Loves You!”
